The work created in 1993 is the product of cooperation between sculptor Odile Mir, astronomer Denis Savoie, and engineer Robert Queudot.
It is a well-known example of what is sometimes and pejoratively called a “highway art.” The monumental work in a contemporary style appears like two intersecting pyramids.

You can see some curiosities such as the marine cemetery, Notre Dame des Auzils, the Pissevaches pond and also, thanks to its geographical location, a diverse Mediterranean-type flora
The Co-Cathedral of Saints Just and Pasteur (French: Cathédrale Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur) is an unfinished Catholic Gothic cathedral in the southern French city of Narbonne.
Construction began in 1272 and was halted in the 14th century. Until the 18th century, it served as the seat of the Bishopric of Narbonne, which was annexed to the Diocese of Carcassonne after the Concordat of 1801 and the church became a co-cathedral. The building has remained unfinished since the Middle Ages and the original completed choir with gallery is used as a church.
At 41 meters, it is one of the tallest in France. The building has had the status of monument historique since 1840.
Gruisan will attract you with its magical atmosphere of an old fishing and wine village. The picturesque old houses are built in a circle around the Tour Barberousse - the ruins of a former fortress from the 11th century. Today it is the symbol of the village, from which there is a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. In the vicinity of Gruissan there are vineyards and a beautiful castle.
Saint Pierre la Mer is a small seaside resort, about 90 kilometres from Montpellier and adjoining to Narbonne-Plage.
Like Narbonne-Plage, there is a so-called "night market" in the high season.
